§ 22-100. Yard sales.

  • (a)

    Permit required; number of permits limited. Any person desiring to sell used merchandise or personal property of such person's own, or of another person, on such person's own premises or at other locations within the city, shall obtain a permit from the city for such sale. Upon request, any one family unit shall be issued a permit for a period of two days; however, no family unit will receive more than two permits in any one-year period. The permit shall be displayed for the duration of the sale.

    (b)

    Signs. Signs advertising the garage/yard sale are permitted. These signs may be placed on the public right-of-way no sooner than 24 hours before the first permit day. These signs must be removed from the public right-of-way within 24 hours of the last permit day.

    (c)

    Exemptions. Sales and display at carnivals, festivals, DDA sponsored city-wide yard sales and bazaars are not regulated hereunder.
