§ 42-31. General regulations.
Latest version.
Except as provided in section 42-32, no person shall kindle an open fire in any public or private place outside any building. Fires started in violation of this article shall be promptly extinguished by the person responsible for such fire upon notice by the fire chief, his designee, or other city official. During the existence of an air pollution alert, as may be declared by the mayor, all exceptions are void and no open fires shall be kindled; notwithstanding any provision of this Code.
